A Winning Combination!
I met Holistic Hottie through Town Sports International, and immediately discovered her to be a wealth of information about training, healthy eating, and healthy thinking. Along with the many projects she tackles educating and creating her brand, she also competes as a bikini class body builder. I was only too pleased then to be of service to her, when she recently admitted to me that she'd been having a great deal of difficulty with the makeup applications from her previous competitions. She showed me some pics of looks and applications she'd had, but disliked, and then she and I went about creating a more flattering, healthy looking design. We then did a tutorial where I led her through applying makeup for stage lighting, so that she could be able to self apply for her events and feel that her appearance was in her control. (And exactly to her liking!) I am excited and proud to say that this past weekend was her first competition with the new look and she WON!!!!!! While body building may be a very specific niche for cosmetics, this is an excellent example of how hiring a non-brand affiliated makeup artist can really help you to create a look that is customized to your needs and to help you achieve your goals :) Congrats to a great teacher and great student!
